Saralya House Residency Terms of Service
Welcome to Saralya House, your Superhost Sanctuary in Siem Reap. These Terms of Service (TOS) are designed to ensure a peaceful, respectful, and enriching experience for all guests, upholding the principles of the Saralya Code: Honesty, Easiness, and Sanctuary.
By submitting an application and confirming a booking with Saralya House (operated by John & Heather Bacon), you agree to these terms.
1. The Saralya Residency Application & Vetting
Due to the highly communal nature and limited inventory (11 units) of Saralya House, we operate a selective residency policy.
1.1 Application Requirement: All prospective guests must submit a detailed Residency Application via the Saralya.com Gravity Form. 1.2 Owner Vetting: John and Heather reserve the sole right to approve or deny any application based on alignment with the community environment and the requirements of the guesthouse. This policy is in place to protect the well-being and serenity of all current residents. 1.3 Booking Confirmation: A booking is only considered confirmed upon receipt of full or partial payment (as agreed upon) and a formal confirmation notice sent directly by Saralya House management. 1.4 Pricing: All rates, charges, and transactions are processed in United States Dollars (USD).
2. Community Conduct & Sanctuary Maintenance
Saralya House is a communal sanctuary designed for shared moments and personal retreat. Mutual respect is paramount.
2.1 Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are strictly observed between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Noise levels must be kept low in all communal areas, and absolute quiet must be maintained in the sleeping wings. 2.2 Respect for Shared Spaces: Residents are expected to clean up after themselves immediately in the Chef’s Kitchen, community room, pool area, and gardens. Dishes must be washed, dried, and put away. 2.3 Conduct: Guests shall conduct themselves respectfully at all times. Behavior that disrupts the peace, generates consistent negative energy, or violates the safety of others will result in the termination of the residency without refund. 2.4 The Saralya Ethos: We strive for a community of like-minded travelers who value health, peace, and open minds. We trust in your good intentions to maintain this harmonious atmosphere. 2.5 Guests: Only registered and confirmed residents are permitted to stay overnight. Day visitors must be pre-approved by John or Heather.
3. Use of Amenities
Access to our world-class amenities is reserved for confirmed residents.
3.1 Saltwater Pool: The 50,000 Gallon Saltwater Pool is available for use from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Guests must shower before entering the pool and adhere to all posted safety rules. Use of the pool is at the guest’s own risk. 3.2 4th Floor Observation Deck: This area is available for quiet contemplation, yoga, and meditation. Please respect others using the space. 3.3 Kitchen Use: The communal Chef’s Kitchen is available 24/7. Guests are responsible for labeling and securing their personal food items in the designated refrigerator/storage spaces.
4. Booking Channels and Cancellation Policy
4.1 Direct Booking Advantage: By booking directly through Saralya.com via the application process, you receive the best rates, priority scheduling, and FREE access to The Saralya Master Key guide. 4.2 Third-Party Bookings (Airbnb/OTAs): Bookings made through third-party platforms are subject to the specific cancellation and amendment policies established on those platforms. Saralya House cannot override third-party cancellation policies. 4.3 Long-Term Residency (1 Month+): Long-term stays require a 30-day notice period for cancellation or amendment to receive a refund (if applicable). Once the residency period has begun, early termination may not be eligible for a refund. 4.4 Short-Term Stays (3–10 Days): Our standard cancellation window is 14 days prior to check-in for a full refund. Cancellations made within 14 days are subject to a fee equivalent to the first night’s stay.
5. Liability and Damages
5.1 Property Damage: Residents are responsible for any damage caused to the guesthouse property, furnishings, or communal amenities during their stay. 5.2 Loss of Property: Saralya House is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings, including valuables, vehicles, or items left in communal spaces. 5.3 Master Key Content: The Saralya Master Key content is the proprietary intellectual property of Saralya House. Unauthorized sharing, distribution, or resale of the guide content is strictly prohibited.
